NW Region Work & Witness Conference

Work__Witness_LogoThe 6th Annual Northwest Region Work & Witness Conference is coming up on September 14-15 and is again taking place in Portland, Oregon, at the Holiday Inn near the Portland Airport.  Registration begins at 1:00PM on Friday and the event will end at about noon on Saturday.

Porter_Jerry_2012This year's special guest speaker is Dr. Jerry Porter.  Dr. Porter is a General Superintendent in the Church of the Nazarene and a former missionary and MAC Regional Director. Following a 2½-year pastoral tenure, Jerry and his wife, Toni, were appointed missionaries to the Dominican Republic to help launch the work of the Church of the Nazarene in that island republic. The assignment included church planting and directing the theological education by extension program. Following rapid and explosive growth of the church in the Dominican Republic, the Porters were assigned to San Jose, Costa Rica, where he served as rector of the Nazarene Seminary of the Americas.
Dr. Porter was appointed as General Superintendent June 1997 in San Antonio, Texas.

All attendees must be registered for the conference.  Cost is $80 if registered before September 3, and goes up to $100 after that date.  A special rate is being offered to full time pastoral staff and spouses as well as NNU Representatives - $60 each (before September 3rd).  Attached is the registration form with additional information on the conference, including event schedule and housing.
